Mumbo, Wakoko, Siu and Halasi are the four already confirmed clans that will play in the 2017 football semi finals of the Bamasaaba Bikuka Tubaana Sports Tournament.

The teams were confirmed after Sunday’s explosive quarter final matches, all of which ended in post match penalty shoot outs.

Mumbo edged Mukonde 6-5 after normal time had ended two all. Halasi won 5-4 over Hugu (normal time ended one all).

Following a goal-less display in normal time, Wakoko overcame Lutsekhe 4-5 with Dan Mukhwana the villain after he ballooned the decisive kick for Lutsekhe into the skies.

Siu were 3-0 winners in the shoot out following yet another barren draw.

Now, the semi finals are set for this Wednesday at the Mbale Municipal Stadium according to the tournament media officer, Ronnie Wabomba.

Wakoko takes on Mumbo in the early kick off at 2 p.m before Halasi entertains Siu later at 4 p.m.

The netball quarter final showdown witnessed Wangokho triumph 14-12 against Lago, Lutsekhe demolished Wakoko 27-17, Hugu narrowly won 12-11 against Muyobo and Kobero was victorious 20-9 against Siu.

The organizers will however await from the petition filed by Muyobo, accusing Hugu of fielding illegible players.

The finals for both football and Netball competitions will be played on 17th December at Mbale Municipal Stadium.
