Anaku stars as Uganda Select team humiliate American Soccer University in Spain

Spain-Uganda Showcase:

• 3^rd Match: Uganda Select (Team Fundi) 8-1 American Soccer University

Uganda Select football side (Team Fundi) was unstoppable with a magnificent performance, winning 8-1 over America Soccer University at the camp De Finestrat in Alicante province.

Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) forward Sadat Happy Anaku was the star of the match with four goals to his name.

The other four goals came from Erick Ssenjobe (Police), Alpha Thierry Ssali (Proline), Raymond Derrick Onyai (Kataka) and Ivan Ocholit (Proline).

Ssenjobe gave team Fundi the lead following an assist from Hakim Kiwanuka.

Anaku got the second goal with SC Villa midfielder Nicholas Kabonge executing the donkey work.

Anaku grabbed a brace, the third goal for the team with Soltilo Bright Stars’ Alfred Onek offering the assist.

Ssali scored a penalty following a foul on himself in the forbidden area.

 Anaku turned provider, assisting Onyai for the fifth goal.

Ocholit joined the goals’ party with the 6^th goal with Julius Poloto providing a hand.

 Anaku scored the 7^th and 8^th goals to galvanize the one-sided victory in a match also watched by the officials from the Spanish tourism and business ministry led by Donna Rebecca Plummer.

This was the third match for Team Fundi following a 1-0 win over Atlético Benidorm Club Deportivo and a 2-1 slip to Club de Fútbol La Nucía.

The Spain-Uganda showcase arrangement was organized by Festo Web sports management in conjunction with Glasman Group Football International (GGFI).

This trip was exclusively funded by the Government of Uganda in support with the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), Parliament of Uganda, Tororo Cement Limited and the ministry of health.
