International media and journalists from various parts of the world have shown keen interest in the key Orange Africa Cup of Nations group J decisive qualifier this Saturday at Mandela stadium, Namboole.

Journalists from BBC world service, Radio Netherlands Internationale, Radio France Internationale, Voice of America, Reuters International, Associated Press, Nation Television Kenya, Daily Nation, Kenya Standard, Citizen television have sent journalists to cover this East Africa derby set for October 8 in Kampala.

A journalist from Radio Netherlands Internationale said this game is important for the people in his nation and the last time Uganda reached the Africa Cup of Nations in 1978, Idi Amin was the president of this country and that alone brings back that history and memory to the people in his country.

Uganda tops group J with ten points and need a win to seal qualification to next year’s edition of the Orange Africa Cup of Nations that will be held in Equatorial Guinea/Benin.
