Nestroy Kizito Retires from Cranes

National player Nestroy Kizito, has quit international football to concentrate on his career at club level.  The Serbia based professional revealed this to Kawowo sports this evening.

“I will be announcing my retirement from international football at the end of the month,” Kizito said. “I am sticking to my decision and will not turn back on it.”

The Partizan Belgrade defender was a key figure of the national team during their failed attempt to qualify for the Africa Cup of the Nations finals in Equatorial Guinea/Gabon next year.

Kizito is one of the senior and junior players that broke down on the pitch at Mandela Stadium after the final whistle in their last qualifier last Saturday against Harambee stars. Kizito has 31 caps and has not scored for national team.

FUFA is set to build a new squad for the next campaigns.
