Namuwongo Blazers made light work of JT Jaguars as they sealed the 14th National Basketball League victory.
Nam Blazers secured a well deserved 93-66 victory against JT Jaguars in the NBL encounter at Lugogo Indoor Arena on Wednesday.
It was a scoring contest in the opening stanza as the Blazers dropped eight tripples before opening a 21-point (37-16) lead at the end of the frame.
In the second stanza, the Jaguars improved their presence in the paint thanks to Abubakah Kasasa and Tong Obde’s hardwork.
However the Blazers still kept on the front foot as they took a commanding 27-point (57-30) lead to the long break.
Coming from the half time break, the Jaguars were limited to only nine points as the Blazers extended their lead to 39 points (78-39).
Stephen Nyeko stretched his rotation further in the fourth quarter and this gave the Jaguars bit for room to enjoy the court but the Blazers rolled to a 27-point victory.
Ian Lubwama had a decent game with a double-double dropping 12 points and made as many rebounds.
Peter Sifuma (22 points) and Choul Dut Abraham (13 points) also added on the team’s account in double digits.
Peter Obleng (19 points), Fataki Nyembo (18 points) and Jimmy Enabu (10 points) led the Blazers’ scoring chart in double digits.
