Andrew 'Fimbo' Mukasa returns to football

The return of the all time league scorer Andrew “Fimbo” Mukasa, playing for league champions URA overshadowed the Bell Lager Uganda Super League this evening at Mandela stadium.

The net buster made his much need cameo 12 minutes into the game between his side and Police Football Club and it had looked like he had never lost his touch even after being out of the game for eight

years.

Deep into the game he crossed from the right with URA’s big man Henry Kisekka, missing by inches then three minutes towards the end he would have made it three for his side who where leading 2-0 and costing to their fourth win in the season.

“We wanted him to come into the side slowly and that is why we have taken time to let him gel in the side,” Alex Isabirye, URA coach said after Mukasa. “I am glad to see back on the pitch and we believe he will get back his form.”

Mukasa is best remembered for his record that he set in 1999 where he notched up a goal record of 45 goal.
