SC Villa Stormes BTV Cup semis

Visiting side SC Villa have stormed the semi-finals of the BTV Cup going on Vietnam, Far East Asia where they are taking part as one of the guest teams.

The league giants who are on tour at the invitational tournament beat Binh Duong 3-1 in one of their opening games and according to reports coming out from Hanoi, Simon Sserunkuma, is among the top scorers in the invitational tournament with two goals to his credit.

Villa took a break away from the Bell Lager Super League to ease the pressure from their fans to take part in this tournament which has seen Ugandan clubs KCC and Express FC play in.

SC Villa was expected to play Sai Gon Xuan Thanh whil Binh Duong takes on Matsubara in the other semi-finals game.

Villa is expected to sell some of its players to potential suitors. KCC sold Moses Oloya and Express did sell Christztom Ntambi to Vietnamese sides when they participated in this tournament in 2009 and 2010 respectively.
