Water moves into second in Bell USL

Modest Water FC moved into fourth place in the Bell Lager Uganda Super League beating nine-man army side Simba FC last evening at Luzira Prison ground in a rescheduled fixture.

Simba, who where without the team coach Fred Kajoba,who is on national duty with the Uganda Cranes.

The soldiers took the early initiative by shooting ahead through Henry Baganza in the 55 minute,but the Water boys bounced back with goals through Sam Senoga and Mood Kawere to give them a priceless win over a side that was reduced to nine men early in the thrilling encounter Innocent Wahib and Khalid Aucho where sent for showers in the 56 and 57 minute.

Water are now fourth with 13 points from eight games.

SC Villa’s bogey run continued when they where held to their fifth draw by Victors FC at Kakindu stadium in Jinja as they await to play Express FC this Friday in a do-or die tie. Maroons FC overcame troubled Fire Masters 2-0 at Mandela stadium to move to fifth on the log.

Meanwhile the official sponsors of the league Bell Lager will officially launch the football awards on Thursday at their head offices at Luzira.
