John Basabose,Anthony Okullo and UPDF lady golfer Flavia Namakula, had reason to celebrate as they concluded the golfing season at the Uganda Golf Club by claiming the MTN mugs for the months of November and December respectively on Saturday at the par 72 Kitante golf course.
John Basabose was gross winner for the month of November with 74 while Jimmy Alemiga was group A winner with 74 nett while Group B was won by Yonas Ntegereize with 70 nett.
Group C was won by Dixit John with 73. The joint mug tournaments attracted 120 golfers as the golfing season concludes this year.
Kate Kabenge was the ladies winner with 76 nett to claim group A while group B was taken by Charity Opolot.
Anthony Okullo, returned 224 to claim the December quarterly mug of mugs while UPDF’s Flavia Namakula with 214 was the ladies winner ending a remarkable season for her which saw her claim
last month’s Uganda Ladies Open championship.
Phillip Kasozi with 67 was the gross winner for December while Davis Kashaka kept his momentum by claiming group A with a score of 69. Yona Ntegeireize did a double by also claiming group B with a score of 70 nett while Group C was taken by Patel Aniket with 72.
The ladies winner group A went to Namakula with 70 nett while group B was taken by Sheila Kesiime with 76.
Herman Mutawe with a total of 651 points claimed the Pro Series beating his close rival Deo Akope who ended the year with 631.4 points.
