KCC Vs SC Villa Match Preview

Its an encounter that will see KCC coach Morley Byekwaso tussle it out against his former coach Mike Mutebi. Its worth noting that Byekwaso played under Mike at KCC F.C in the 90s. Both teams have not had the best of an almost ending first half of the season and so would like to make ends meet in the remaining few games of the round.

TEAM NEWS:

KCC F.C will almost have a full squad. Like villa, the yellow boys have also alternated coaches and interim coach Morley Byekwaso will still be the man in the dug out. He has so far won games against Masaka L.C and Simba away from home and will be looking to bag another 3 points for his side.

ONE TO WATCH. Micheal Birungi loves big occassiöns and KCC will be looking forward to him doing his magic. Though he has been blowing hot and cold ever since he joined the Lugogo based side, he attributes this to injuries due to cönstant knocks. He will be the man to unlock the dependable villa defence.

Probable line up: Wakabu Godfrey, Mpiima Ssakka, Richard Malinga, Katerega Edison, Omar Hitimana, Ivan Ntege, Kakooza Jimmy, Turyamuhebwa Siraj, Kamada Ndiefi Ssebagala, Birungi Micheal and Ssekayombya Andrew.

SC.VILLA‘s manager Mike Mutebi approaches his second game of his Villa reign against a club he supported as a kid and then played for them and later went on to coach them. SC Villa will be without striker Wasswa Herman (knee) and midfielder Lukanga Cliff. Defender Apollo Kakaire who was stretcherd off in the game against Bidco is also doubtful. However, the Jogoos are boasted with the return of Noah Ssemakula from Vietnam and he is likely to feature.

ONE TO WATCH. If SC Villa are to score a goal today, Kalyowa Emmanuel must be the man to look up to. He has responded well in training and with Wasswa out injured, Emma must seize his chance. Probable line up: Ochan Benjamin, Kisalita Ayub, Denis Guma, Gassana Phillip, Kabanda Mike, Kirabira Isaac, Ndaula Moses, Simon Sserunkuma, Kalyowa Emma, Eurukana Nkugwa and Muleme Isaac.

DID YOU KNOW THIS?

SC Villa and KCC drew their league encounters last season.

KCC F.C coach Morley Byekwaso played for both clubs.

SC.VILLA has only scored 4 goals this season with Ndaula (3) and Herman Wasswa (1) the only two scorers.

PREDICTION:

Its a tight game that each team needs to win not only to earn 3 points but also bragging rights as this is a derby. With Villa just one position above the relegation zone, i expect them to be more hungry but this will only increase the pressure on the boys. My heart feels a draw is the result but i see KCC winning it. SC VILLA 1-2 KCC F.C.
