Uganda climbs in FIFA rankings

Uganda has risen two places up in the latest Coca Cola FIFA football rankings that were released early today by the world governing body.

Uganda is now ranked number 89 in the world moving up two slots from the previous position this new position comes in the wake of Uganda Cranes winning the Cecafa challenge cup in Tanzania for the twelfth time after beating Amavubi stars from Rwanda in a penalty shoot-out 3-2 after ending the regular 90 minutes all square at 2-all.

According to the world soccer governing body’s website Uganda grabbed a total of 161.68 points for winning the Cecafa challenge cup, but in total they 398 points for that. Rwanda moved 8 places up to 106 while Kenya moved 13 points up to 120. Tanzania is now ranked 137 and has dropped one position down. Uganda is ranked number 20 in the Confederation of African Football Rankings. What do you think of these latest rakings?
