URA ease past Lesotho opponents

Uganda Revenue Authority thrashed Lesotho Correctional Services FC 3-0 in the first leg of the CAF Champions League at Namboole stadium today in a first leg clash.

The hosts dominated the game from start and took a lead inside 5 minutes through Manko Kawesa’s goal following a failure by LCS defense to clear Robert Sentongo’s blocked shot.

URA kept the visitors on the back foot and should have more than doubled their lead in the first half was it not for the wastefulness infront of goal with a number of efforts off target in the half.

URA kept the same pressure on LCS’ back four in the second half and doubled their lead lead through Stewart Bagala’s thump from out side the area to put the local tax collectors in a confortable lead.

Augustine Nsumba wrapped up the victorious afternoon with URA’s third goal. Local champions carry a 3-0 advantage to the second leg of the tie due at the beginning of march in Lesotho.
