Heathens still chasing

In the Nile Special Rugby league defending champions continued their chase for the fourth straight title with a 25-12 win against Pirates at Kyandondo Rugby Club.

First half tries from Bishop Onen, Michael Wokorach and Romano Ogwal sent an early signal that Heathens meant business. Benon Kiiza added two conversions two penalties pirates tries came through Marvin Odong and Davis Kyewalabye

At Kampala Rugby Club UTL Kobs humbled visiting Sadolin Mongers 47-7 to earn a precious bonus point

which moved them to 42 points at the top.

This mathematics implies that Kobs can now afford to lose to Heathens and still win their first league title in four years on condition that they beat Toyota Buffaloes, Makerere Impis, Rhino and Nile thereafter with a bonus point just their foes are expected to do.

In the other results Nile were defeated by Buffalloes 0-39 in Jinja and Impis failed to win visiting Rhinos at their Makerere ground.
