Bell Uganda Cup: Masaka host Victors, Maroons at home to Arum Rozes while URA Away to Luwero

At Masaka Recreation Ground, Kefa Kisala’s Masaka LC host Sula Kato’s Victors FC in what is the only clash that pits two super league sides in the round of 16 in this competition. Victors FC will look to avenge the league defeat suffered at the hands of Masaka LC a few days ago.

Unlike Masaka LC, Victors have won this competition once under Sula Kato in 2010. Kyambadde Rashid will

be the man tasked to look for goals by Kefa Kisala with captain Ronald Lukungu marshalling the defence line. The hosts’ last outing was a goal less draw away to Hoima-Busia in the league last Friday.

Victors FC come into this game beaming with confidence after beating red hot Bunamwaya 1-0 in their last league game. Eric Ssebuguzi and Isaac Ntege will lead the hunt for goals for Sula Kato’s side.

At Luwero, URA FC will have to put the 2-0 defeat to Djoliba AC in the Caf Champions League behind when they play away to regional side Luwero. Coach Alex Isabirye is set to make changes to the side that lost to Djoliba over the weekend.

Moses Feni Ali, Allan Munaba, and Osama Farouk are all expected to start today having missed the Saturday game. At Luzira, Coach Asaph Mwebaze’s Maroons side entertain big league side Arum Roses with a quarter final birth at stake. George Abege will lead the forward line and search for goals that will spur the Prisons side to victory.

Maroon’s last outing was a 2-1 loss to SC.Villa at the same stadium in the league on Friday. The Soana Misindye – Bunamwaya game is suspended on the former’s request having played two games over the weekend in the big league. SC.Villa and Water FC are the only two sides to have already booked places in the quarter finals.
