
Hot boxing prospect Ismail “Sharp Shooter”Muwendo will get his boxing season on a high when he contests for the vacant USA Mid American featherweight title against Steve Mincks on Saturday at the Buffalo County Fair, Kearney in Nebraska.
It will be the undefeated pugilist’s first fight in the New Year and a significant fight for him early in his career as he eyes bigger fights later in the year. Muwendo, who is based in Minnesota last mounted the ring in February last year and has been conditioning himself for this fight in his home town in Saint Paul.
Mincks, goes into this fight having lost five of his six fights and has a record of (5-21-2, 8 KOs). Muwendo is fast rising boxer who is handled by by top trainer Scott Tolzmann goes into this title fight with a sounding record of eight wins and six within the distance.
The 24 year old boxer is one of Uganda’s brightest prospects in the paid ranks together with Sharif “The Lion” Bogere.
