Local kick boxer Moses Golola last Friday mysteriously found his way into Titus Tugume’s camp at Graceland Hotel and tried to persuade the latter’s coach into joining his camp.
Golola and Tugume are preparing for title fights on April 24 and may 11 respectively though the former’s is yet to be confirmed. Just last month Golola unveiled a trainer from Thailand, whatever happened between the two, only God can tell.
The Man in question is Meddie Mayambala, arguably the best kickboxing coach in the land currently. Mayambala turned down Golola’s offer because of his loyalty to Tugume.
“There is no way I can work with someone unserious like him (Golola).”
“He also needs to keep his feet on the ground and show respect to people,” Mayambala said. Lately Golola has fallen out with almost everyone who worked hard to make sure he becomes the brand he is.
Tugume is camping at the Ggaba hotel ahead of his Intercontinental fight against Viktor Reich next month. He wasn’t calm about the fact that Golola was trying to distort his preparations. “That guy needs to know his limits.”
“If he needs a coach he should try to get his own instead of picking on mine,” said Tugume.
