Sharif Bogere rises in latest WBC ratings

Undefeated North American Boxing Organisation lightweight champion Sharif “The Lion” Bogere, has risen up to number 12 in the latest World Boxing Council rankings in the 135 pound division.

The new move inches him closer to a unification fight or a world title shot in any of the world boxing bodies. The Las Vegas based stylish pugilist is listed at number three in the WBO ratings in his division.

“I am waiting for my moment and working hard for it,” Bogere recently said. “I am really ready for anybody who comes my way.”

Bogere has been in perfect shape winning his last six fights registering three knockouts and two decisions in between them taking his record to 22 wins 0 losses and 14 within the distance. His win knockout ratio in the ring is 77 percent.

The International Boxing Federation ranks him at number five while International Boxing Organisation

places him at number 14.

The Ugandan prize fighter is seeking to become the sixth Ugandan world boxing champion following in the same footsteps of John “The Beast” Mugabi, Cornelius Boza Edwards,Ayub Kalule,Kassim “The Dream”Ouma and Jackson “Action” Asiku.
