KCC FC need to maximise home ground

Few clubs in Ugandan football own a football ground that can host a Bell Uganda Super League match. KCC finally played out a 1-1 draw at ‘home’ with league champions, Uganda Revenue Authority at Lugogo grounds yesterday. The numbers that graced the epic tie only had to do with, passion, the day being a public holiday or the game being the first at Lugogo this season.

Led by Kampala City mayor, Erias Lukwago, the home crowd cheered on passion before being lucky to deny URA FC maximum points with five minutes to go. One only thinks that if Lugogo got such atmospheres for minimumly three times a month, then the KCC club cofers would only pose few wanting questions at the end of the day.

The club money blatantly increases, the squad is equally motivated in terms of money, hence player wage strikes are seen off. Many more clubs sought to borrow a leaf from clubs with their own grounds; Bunamwaya SC in Buikwe, URA FC in Lugazi and Simba SC in Bombo.

With the sense of belonging KCC FC now has, the fanbase will be good to go and perharps hope to see the lost glory. And now with the power of television, the road to development will keep getting smooth for the ‘Kasasiro boys’.
