Hoima-Busia 1-2 URA FC
URA FC are now three points clear of second placed Express FC at the top of the league after beating strugglers Hoima-Busia FC 2-1 in a league match played this afternoon at Bugembe Stadium. The Champions had on form midfielder Moses Feni and striker Hamis Kitagenda’s first half strikes to thank for the lucrative three points.
Peter Oguttu’s Hoima-Busia however got one back in the second half through Yasin Higenyi but couldn’t find an equaliser to stop Alex Isabirye’s side from ending a two
game drawing streak. The win means URA FC now have 47 points 3 ahead of Express FC who lie second while Hoima-Busia remain second from bottom on the 16 team log on 18 points with only nine games left to survive the drop.
Speaking after the game to Kawowo Sports, skipper Manko Kawesa said “It was an important win for us as it boasts our morale ahead of the Bell Uganda Cup finals”. It should be noted that the tax men will next be in action on Saturday when they play third placed Bunamwaya SC in the finals of the Bell Uganda Cup in Pece Stadium, Gulu.
