Fred Kajoba’s Simba FC welcomes Charles Ayiekho’s Water FC at Bombo on Friday afternoon in a clash that pits two on form sides in the league against each other. Both sides are on a winning run having posted three wins on the trot.
The hosts have beaten Villa, Bunamwaya SC and Masaka LC FC in their previous three league matches while Masaka LC, Bunamwaya SC and Hoima-Busia FC have fallen prey to Water FC. The question at hand will be whether one of the sides can maintain that run when the two clash. Simba FC will rely mainly on form hit man Ssonko Swalley, Ivan Wava, Omunuk Robert and skipper Wakaza Godfrey for goals. Young player of the nominee Khalid Aucho is expected the run the show in the midfield. Simba’s last game at Bombo was a 1-0 win over record champions SC Villa.
Charles Ayiekho’s Water FC will again require talisman Joseph Bukenya at his best if the side is leave Bombo with maximum points. The midfielder cum striker has been a phenomenal this season scoring important goals for his side and he will aim at getting on the score sheet against his former employees. The diminutive star has so far scored eight league goals this season. Nyanzi Makumbi, Brian Ochwo, Kayiira Phillip and Tamale Musa are the other players to look out for in this tie for Water FC.
The reverse fixture ended 2-1 in favor of Charles Ayiekho’s side with Sam Ssenoga and Kawere Mood on the score sheet for Water FC while Hanry Bangaza scored for simba. The match holds a record for the highest number of cards in a league game this season totaling to ten over all. Water FC received one while Simba got nine including two red cards to Aucho Khalid and Innocent wahib. Water FC lies fifth on the table with 38 points while Simba SC is on sixth on the 16 team log with 38 points while Simba SC is 8th on 36 points.
