The Cranes defender has now netted three times this season in eleven league games. The win moves Ordabasy FC to fourth on the table with 19 points while Irytsh are sixth. Immediately after the game, the Ugandan international could not hide his joy as he posted to his face book page.
“When God says yes,who can say no?.Thank u God for the 2 goals you enabled me score in today’s victory in the kazakhstan premier league.Ordabasy 2-1 Irtysh. And am praying that this form of scoring goals may be reflected in the national team come next June. Now i have 3 goals in my name in the league and thank God so much”
The defender is one of the 30 man squad that was this week summoned by Coach Bobby Williamson for crucial AFCON and World Cup engagements in the next month that involve three matches against Angola (away), Senegal and Congo Brazzaville (home). The Cranes resume training this week but the skipper is not expected till late this week or next week.
