URA FC 3-1 SC.VILLA.
A brace from Ociti Benson and a goal from Robert Ssentongo were enough for URA FC to humble record league champions SC Villa in a league game played at Lugazi this afternoon. Acema Robert netted Villa’s consolation on the day.
Mike Mutebi’s side that was missing nine players due to suspension and injuries began the game brightly but faded as the game waned and conceded in the 26th minute courtesy of a Benson Ociti header off Simon Masaba cross. However, Mulindwa fumbled with the ball before it actually ended up in the net. From then, the tax collectors began to dominate proceedings but Villa stood resilient till the first half whistle.
After recess, URA FC began from where they had ended and extended their lead in the 59th minute when Ociti’s would be cross ended at the back of the net. Again, custodian Mulindwa Muwonge was at fault for going for a cross that wasn’t.
Robert Ssentongo put the icing on the cake when he slotted home in the 73rd minute after Kyeyune Said laid a brilliant through ball. Acema Robert netted for Villa with three minutes to go after he combined well with Wasswa Herman and Ndaula Moses.
SC Villa had to use custodian Benjamin Ochan as an out field substitute following an injury to defender Ayub Kisalita because of nine of Villa players including Bengo, Ssemakula, Muganga, Kakaire, Gassana and Ssenfuka were out. The win means the tax collectors remain top of the league table on 53 points.
