Express FC face Masaka LC test

Tue: 29th/05/2012, Masaka Recreation Ground, 4.00PM
Express FC pay a courtesy visit to Masaka LC FC hoping to bag maximum points if they are to keep pace with table leaders URA FC in the chase for the league title this season. The red eagles have registered two wins on the trot from as many games last week and will hope that run continues.
However, they should expect no soft landing at a stadium where fellow title contenders URA FC and Bunamwaya SC left with without point after losing to Kefa Kisala’s side 2-0 in the league this season.
Masaka LC has not had the best of moments in the previous few weeks winning just twice in their last six games. Hat trick hero against Hoima-Busia FC in their last league game Mustapha Kasolo and leading marks man Kyambadde Rashid are expected to lead the hunt for goals as experienced striker Ismail Kigozi has failed to regain his scoring boots since rejoining the side. Kefa Kisala will however miss the services of suspended skipper Ronald Likungu, defender Kiwewa Andy and midfielder Josph Kasekende.
Sam Ssimbwa’s side that won their last league game against Victors FC 1-0 over the weekend will still be with out Bonny Baingana who disappeared to Rwanda but the available troops led by skipper Willy Kavuma will no doubt be in position to finish the job. Yayo Lutimba, Ssekismabu Erias and Julius Ogwang are expected to be the men to lift Express FC on the day.
The first round fixture at Namboole stadium ended in a 2-1 win for the Wankulukuku based side that lie third on the 16 team log. Luzige Edgar and Ogwang Julius netted for Express FC while Lukungu Ronald scored for Masaka LC. A win for Express FC will lift them to second on the table just a point leaders URA FC that are not in action on the day.
