
Lefthand batsman, Lelia Namaganda hit an impressive 46 runs that led Gayaza to a 95 run win over JACC in the National Women’s Cricket league fray at Kyambogo oval. Gayaza had set 159 for a ten wicket loss despite remarkable bowling from Barbra Nabirye (3/24) and Racheal Ntono (2/30).
Poor batting cost JACC with only Prico Nakitende (16) exceeding ten runs. Gertrude Namulondo and Dorothy Losike picked four and three wickets in turn. Gayaza’s triumph means they face table leaders, Wanderers in the league semifinal at Kyambogo this Saturday.
