Uganda’s top Olympic hopeful, Moses Ndiema Kipsiro suffered a blow as he finished eighth in a heated ten kilometre run in the IAAF golden label event in Bangalore yesterday. One may think that the 2007 Algiers All Africa Ganes 5000m star had underperfotrmed but it is a surprise that he was just 49 seconds behind top finsher, Geoffrey Kipsang.
Kipsiro, who missed the World Athletics Championships in Daegu last year continues to fine tune himself for the London Olympics. Ndiema holds the 5000m national record. He narrowly missed the podium in Beijing after finishing fourth in the 5000m four years ago.
