Mityana’s Katakala FC emerged champions of the City Tyres Chenga Football Challenge tourney held in Fort Portal on Saturday. The round robin basis tournament that had attracted four teams saw Katakala collect seven points after winning two games and drawing the other to end the contest unbeaten.
The newly crowned champions who won themselves a glittering trophy and a cash prize of shs.1.5 million will now play in the National finals to in July at a venue yet to be named by the event organisers, Friends of Football.
The teams that took part are Friends of Soccer (FOS) from Fort Portal, Kitabu United from Kasese, Katakala from Mityana and Youngsters from Mubende.
