
Uganda Cranes skipper Andy Mwesigwa will be in Europa league action this Thursday when his Khazakstan side FC Ordabasy visit Serbian club Jogodina FC.
The match is the first leg of the first round qualifier and is hosted at Grandski Stadium in Serbia with the second leg set between July 10-12 in Khazkastan.
The winner of the tie over two legs will advance to the second round and a draw will be held too.
The Uefa Europa league is played in three phases with three qualifying rounds, group stages and the knock out phases were third placed teams from UEFA Champions league groups also join including the finals.
The winner over two legs in the qualifying rounds join the next stage while the top two teams in the group phase combine with the third placed team Champions league groups to play in a knock out ties on a home and away basis.
The UEFA Europa league is Europe’s second elite league tie.
Spanish side Athletico Madrid are the defending champions.
