Champions Patidar recovered from 43-run loss last weekend as they edged similar opponents Nile by 12 runs in the Multiple Industries Cricket League tier at Entebbe Cricket grounds yesterday. Patidar who won the toss, set 259 for an eight wicket loss. Hard hitter Roger Mukasa anchored 90 runs while Rajan Nambi added a half ton of 58 runs. Nile’s Ivan Kakande (3/37) and Salim Mandela (2/28) snared five wickets.
When Nile’s turn at the fulcrum came, they only chased to 247 with a wicket in hand. Micheal Ndiko hit 82, David Musoke added 67 and Emmanuel Hasahya added 34. Mukasa (3/55) and Akbar Baig (2/22) did the donkey work to hand Nile their fourth league loss. Patidar returned to third position on 26 points. Nile remain fourth on 22 points.
