
The Ghanaian U20 National team that was scheduled to arrive in Uganda this Wednesday (today) is now expected in the country on Friday morning.
The change in flight and arrival date is perhaps due to the un expected death of their president John Atta Mills who Passed way yesterday due to cardiac arrest at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra.
According a press release from FUFA, the Black Satellites will touch down at Entebbe International
Airport at 01.15 am but acknowledged they had not yet received formal communication from their counterparts in Ghana.
The statement read; “Our counterparts in Accra had not yet made a formal communication in connection to the same.
FUFA however made an attempt to reach the FA and the information available indicates that the team will arrive at Entebbe International Airport at 01:15 am aboard Ethiopia Airlines, Friday morning”.
“The details searched from the Ethiopian Airlines further confirm that the team bookings are already made in Accra”, the statement further read.
The African Champions are set to clash with their Ugandan counterparts The Hippos this Saturday in an African Youth Championship Qualifier in the first leg at Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium.
The winner of the tie over two legs will meet either of Gambia or Morocco in the final round for a slot in Algeria 2013
