Uganda Cranes international midfielder Musa Mudde has been ruled out of action for a minimum of four weeks following an injury he sustained in the CECAFA quarter final match against Azam FC.
The former Sofapaka FC player sustained an injury in the 81st minute after Azam’s defender Jabir Aziz tackled him from the back, leaving his left leg entangled between his two as he landed down in pain. It’s reported that Mudde’s left ankle joint rotated in the opposite side causing a major dislocation.
“Mudde will be out of action for a minimum of four weeks”, confirmed Simba SC team doctor Cosmos Kapinga
It should be noted that Mudde missed the 2014 World Cup Qualifiers against Angola and Senegal last month due to injury sustained on club duty while still at Sofapaka and is set to miss on Bobby Williamson’s squad for the Malawi friendly game scheduled for 15th next month.
The midfielder will also have to beat the fitness race to be selected for the final round of the 2013 AFCON qualifier against Zambia on the 8th of September at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
