Uganda’s representatives URA FC exited the competition but the country is not short of representatives at the Kagame Cup as five Ugandan players will be in action this afternoon in a battle for a final slot of the tournament.

Yanga’s Diego Hamis Kiiza are set to play APR FC in an early kick off at the National Stadium.

The defending champions who eliminated Zanzibar’s Mafunzo FC 5-3 on spot kicks in the quarter finals will look to strikers Said Bahanuzi and Ugandan international Hamis Kiiza for goals that ensures they reach the finals.

The duo has netted 9 goals between them with Said bagging five while Kiiza has managed four. Kiiza comes up against a trio of fellow Ugandans Dan Wagaluka, Johnson Bagoole and Habib Kavuma in the APR FC side they beat 2-0 in the group stages.

Bagoole is expected to start in central defence. Experienced striker Olivier Karekezi and pacy Selemen Ndikumana are expected to lead the hunt for goals for Rwanda army side. Elsewhere, Joseph Owino’s Azam FC play guest team As Vita of DRC.

The Congolese outfit will bank their hopes for glory on leading scorer Taddy Etikiama (6 goals) while John Bocco will hunt the goals for Azam FC.
