Mutyaba back at Bunamwaya on Loan

Bunamwaya SC has re-acquired the services of Uganda Cranes midfielder Mike Mutyaba on a six months loan deal from Sudan’s side El Merrickh. The diminutive midfielder joined the Sudanese outfit from the Wakiso based side last year and has been an integral part of the side until he sustained an injury that saw him being left out of the national team for the 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Angola and Senegal. And the 4-0 demolishing of Congo Brazzaville in a 2013 Afcon return leg qualifier.

Mutyaba was a core part of Edward Golola’s side before he left for semi-professional football in Sudan. He is expected to be equally important for them in the six months he will be available.

Bunamwaya SC has so far lost two first team players in this window, midfielder Hakim Ssekumba and striker Tony Odur. The pair joined Kenya Premier League side Sofapaka FC and giants KCC FC respectively.

The club may also lose last season’s Bell Super League best midfielder William Luwaga Kizito who is currently on trials in Portugal.
