East Africa Premier League at 1:30pm
Knights Vs Kanbis – Nairobi
Warriors Vs Rift Valley Rhinos – Kyambogo
Coast Pekee Vs Kongonis – Mombasa
The second edition of the East Africa Elite Premier League and Cup got underway last weekend. Uganda’s two franchise side Knights and Warriors faced in both 50-over and T20 versions at Entebbe Oval. Warriors defeated Knights by four wickets in both ties. The Davis Karashani-led side travelled by bus on Friday evening to Nairobi to face off with new Kenyan side Kanbis at the Nairobi Gymkhana oval this afternoon.
Opening batsman thinks his side will have to step up to the challenge if they are to remain in contention for the top prize. “We need to do better,” Kyobe, who hit an unbeaten 74 off 57 balls (8 fours and 3 sixes) said prior their trip.
Meanwhile, Warriors under former Kenya sensational Steven Tikolo entertain Rift Valley Rhinos at Kyambogo in the afternoon.
