
It was a low turn up for the national swimming trials at Kampala International School of Uganda over the weekend at Bukoto.
Arnold Kisulo,Jethro Ssengonzi,Joshua Ekirikubinza,Tendo Mukalazi had good races in the pool.
Kisulo was a winner in the men’s 1,500 freestyle with a time of 20.14.08 seconds while Joshua Ekirikubinza and his brother Elisa clocked times of 20.51.11 and 21.01.07 to finish second and third respectively.
The Uganda Swimming Federation was using the swimming trial to set times for swimmers ahead of the Uganda Regional Invitational and the Cana Zone IV swimming championships in Kampala and Lusaka this year and next year.
In the boys 100 meters freestyle Jethro Ssengonzi, clocked a time of 01.06.65 to win his race while Theo Muhebwa and Jesse Ssengonzi timed 01.15.03 and 01.24.48 respectively.
Dolphins swimming club, a swimming club funded by Ugandans in California and Rainbow International School and Aga Khan School took part. Other notable schools that missed out included International School of Uganda,Kampala International School of Kampala.
