Newly promoted super league club Sports Club Victoria University is set to unveil its new signings on Wednesday morning at Sheraton Hotel.

The new acquisitions include former URA FC skipper Manko Kawesa, custodian Ali Kimera from Victors FC, Martin Mpuga and George Abege from Maroons FC, SC Villa duo of Noah Ssemakula and Lawrence Kasadha, midfielder Ibrahim Saddam Juma from Sai Gon in Vietnam V-League, Nigerian import Victor Adjeba, Rwanda’s U-20 international Charles Tibingana from Proline FC and former Uganda Cranes left fullback Joseph Nestroy Kizito.

Meanwhile, the event that kicks off at 8.00 am will also be used to celebrate the club’s one year anniversary three days after celebrating 12 months of existence. It should be noted that the university club was formed August 19th, 2011.

Rolling back the 12 months, SCVU has since become  the first club to be promoted to the top tier within nine months of being created and the first University side to reach top division of Ugandan football.

The football club first announced its arrival to the soccer fraternity when it signed SC Villa skipper Denis Guma for a record fee of $ 10,000.

The club will also unveil first team coach Sam Ssimbwa who joined the club in the window after leading Express FC to the league title.
