The Cranes arrived in Ndola ahead of the first leg Afcon qualifier with defending champions Zambia and all the 18 players and seven officials looked in shape. The team that escorted by a contingent of close to 60 fans and was also accompanied by Fufa delegates led by president, Lawrence Mulindwa.

On arrival, cranes assistant coach Jackson Mayanja reckoned how the game is very important. “The game is very important to all Ugandans especially the

players, so we are praying that God can see us through this test,” said Mayanja

“The weather is just fine like you can see and if stays like this till tomorrow am sure we will be home,” he added.

About the team staying 65-kilometers away from the stadium, mayanja says it is not important so longer as the roads are fine. “The only thing that can affect us are the roads but Ndola has relatively good roads we have a good bus so the boys will be fine,” he added.

This evening the Cranes will get a feel of the Levy Mwanawasa stadium as mandated by CAF and FIFA before the tie tomorrow.
