Having played for the Cranes in their 1-0 loss to Zambia’s Chipolopolo last weekend, Tonny Mawejje is expected to make the line up for IBV Vestmannaeyar when they host Grindavik in the Iceland topflight league at the Hásteinsvöllur stadium today. Mawejje’s side alongside fellow Ugandan, custodian Abel Dhaira lies fourth on the 12-team table with 28 points from 18 games.
They have only managed a win, two draws and losses in their last five games. They could move a place up if third placed side Stjarnan fail to win their game at home to Hafnarfjordur. Stjarnan have 29 points with a goal difference of +6, half Vestmannaeyar’s.
