A ten-man Pool Cranes team comprising Pool Association of Uganda’s (PAU) top eight seeds was selected yesterday to play a friendly with Kenya due September 28 at Planet Sports Bar, Naalya.
The assembled Cranes’ side, under new coach Eddy Nkoyoyo, will mainly bank on reigning Nile Special National Pool Open (NSNPO) champion Alfred Gumisiriza and seed one Sula Matovu.
“I have the best players and we have to give it all our best,” Nkoyoyo, who replaced Phillip Sali, said. Other players include reigning Easter Cup winner Yuvez Kaneza (Perfection), NSNPO runner-up Amos Ndyagumanawe (seed five).
Meanwhile, the Kenyan contingent arrives on Monday, according PAU publicist Micheal Mawanda. “Everyone is excited about the trip,” Kenya coach Krush Karajan said when contacted. “We will be away home but we will not give our opponents any breathing space.”
