Volts, the reigning national pool league champions proved that they are too good for Skin Samona whose 19 games unbeaten run they stopped on Saturday. Volts, which was playing away, beat Skin Samona 11-09 at Pacify Hotel.

The titleholders confirmed that they are a better team after having thrashed Skin Samona an embarrassing 16-04 in the first round. In the tightly contested and highly tense match, Ali Mubarak out smarted Skin Samona’s captain Bisaso Paulous to make it 10-9 before Kibirige Krunimah beat Salongo Bukenya Asuman crowned it all to 11-09 giving Volts the much anticipated victory.

“Skin Samona came into this match knowing we were a better side after having perennially suffered losses at our hands. We beat them from here last season and we have done it twice this season, thanks to my players who are becoming better by the day” said Majidu Lukwogo, the Volts Manager.

As if not accepting that they were a weaker side, Skin Samona’s Bisaso Paulous said that it was not their day because they missed a lot of chances.

In other games played Kyadalu, who were at home in Nansana, overcame their nemeses Scrap Yard whom they beat 12-8 to claim victory. “We want to finish in the best 6 teams as we plan for an even stronger team next season”, Said Kyadalu’s Baguma Akim.
