Uganda’s U-20 national team and SC Villa Coach Paul Nkata has missed out on an opportunity to export his coaching skills to Kenya after being beaten to the Western Stima top job by Leonard Saleh.

Nkata was among the top coaches shortlisted for the job alongside former AFC Leopards Coach Jan Koops and Saleh among others after the Kakamega based Kenya Premier League (KPL) side parted ways with Coach Henry Omino.

According to the club chairman Laban Jobita in his interview with futaa.com, Saleh a former Kenya national team assistant Coach will put pen on paper on Tuesday 18th December and will be offered a one year renewable contract basing on performance.

“We have selected Coach Leonard Saleh from all the applicants who had shown interest in the job. He will be handed a one year deal as per the agreement reached between the two parties, which will be signed on Tuesday 18 December”, said Jobita before adding;

“The contract has a performance clause which means there is the option of renewing if the results are good and I am confident that the coach will take us to the next level”.

Coach Saleh will be making a return to the topflight league in Kenya after spending 2012 with Agrochemicals in the second tier. He is a former Coach at KCB FC.
