The season has started with a bang for Entebbe golf club chairman Innocent Kihika and leading lady golfer Irene Nakalembe, as they won the first Orange/Castle Lite mug of the month at the Entebbe Golf Club on the weekend.
Kihika playing off handicap 22 returned to the club house with a perfect score of 69 nett on count back to take valuable points in the race for the overall winner at the end of the year. With the season just started 73 golfers took part in this annual club event with Entebbe’s Morris Ongwech, playing off handicap 4 claiming group A with a score of 76 nett.
Andreas Eberhard playing off handicap 12 claimed group B with a score of 70 nett while Ivane Mwebaaze walked off with group C with a score of 69 nett.
Entebbe’s top lady golfer Irene Nakalembe playing off handicap 7 won the overall ladies crown with a score of 68 nett. Morgan Otile was the guest winner with a score of 70 nett.
