Giant volleyball club Kampala Amateur Volleyball Club have ushered in a new executive led by Mofaht Masaba, who will guide the club for the next two years in his first term.
The club elected Masaba in absentia with him polling 33 votes against Richard Okwi and Rachael Mugabi garned 11 and 3 votes respectively at their annual general assembly held recently at Lugogo Indoor stadium.
Masaba in the previous executive was the club’s executive secretary.
The other posts that where up for contest where scooped unopposed they included the vice president which was taken by Mugabi, the executive secretary is Bernadette Kodili, Irene Kiconco Kuloba is the manager for women,Robert Wamala, is the manager for men while Barbara Bangi and Mathew Mwenyi are the player representatives.
The post of director of sponsorship and marketing is likely to be retained by Rahma Masagazi.
