CS Don Bosco (DR Congo) Vs Supersport United (South Africa)

Uganda Cranes left fullback Godfrey Walusimbi will be in action on Sunday afternoon when his new side CS Don Bosco of DR Congo face Supersport United FC of South Africa in the first leg of the preliminary round of the 2013 Caf Confederations Cup.

Unlike Supersport United which will be making its 39th appearance in Caf competitions, CS Don Bosco will be making their debut appearance.

The Congo side qualified to play in the competition after winning their domestic Cup competition last year.

Like his club, Walusimbi will also be appearing in the competition for the first time but is set to use his national team experience to hurt the South African side that is coached by Gavin Hunt.

In his words, Hunt admitted it will be a tough trip for his side despite facing an unknown opposition.

“We are going to the Congo this weekend and it’s going to be tough for us in the next couple of weeks. But we are looking forward to it, we are ready,” Hunt said.

“I think Africa is a good experience, especially for younger players. We will put a lot in and give them the opportunity.

The two sides will meet in the return leg after a fortnight.
