Volleyball players will be eyeing points as the the first leg of the Club National Beach Volleyball Circuit sets to swing into action at Lido Beach Resort on Sunday with several players taking part from senior,junior and youth levels.
Last year’s overall leaders on points Shilla Buyungo and Margaret Nambassa together with Dickens Otim and Ambrose Okello will be missing out on the event as they seek for higher ground in the Bora Bora Beach Volleyball International at Lake Tanganyika, in Burundi this weekend.
With the absence of the leading front runners it will give a opportunity for players like Maggie Nammanda,Vivienne Aketch,Sharon Pajije,Diana Agaba,Amon Ainebyona,Mathew Mwenyi,Hannington Nsubuga,Isaac Omedo and Emma Kato.
The Nile Breweries sponsored one-day tournament will provide the technical team with indicative stances of players statuses as Uganda braces for a busy international scene this year.
