Heathens 57-10 Buffaloes
Summerkamp 19-27 Rhinos
Kobs 5-3 Pirates
Impis 24-22 Mongers
It was all happiness around the different fields as Heathens, Rhinos Impis and Kobs walked off the pitches with vital points in the hunt of the top four slots which earn them the semi final play offs.
The Toyota Buffaloes felt the Heathen fire at their backs and they crushed down though they tried to play well. Philip Pario opened the accounts for the Buffaloes with a penalty but the reaction of the Heathens was so superior that the Buffaloes couldn’t handle and we saw the Buffaloes back-line being broken down. Allan Ocheing, Jonathan Bishop Onen, Ronnie Musoke, Mathias Ochur, Ben Kizza, Allan Okello, all contributed to the score line of the dominant Heathens as old boy Robert Seguya got a consolation try for the rejuvenated Buffaloes but they played the entire 70 minutes with a man down as Eric Kasita was shown red as it can be attributed to their loss.
“Never lose hope we had a great game but fatigue and the loss of Eric kept us down “said Robert Seguya.
Mean while lucky Rhinos snatched points from hard fighting Summerkamp who are yet to get a point in the league. Though at a point they led with 16-3 margin , it only short lived as they crushed in the hands of their close rivals. Match maker Andrew Luyima spared time to make a try as Andrew Omoding made two tries for the Rhinos who had previously been beaten by the Heathens by 81-00.
D’Mark Kobs struggled to break the strong Pirates backline in a no-no sense game at the legends grounds. James Kimono was the match winner for the Kobs with the only try in the game as Anthony Kinene tried to bring hope as he converted a penalty but it wasn’t enough as they lost the game.
At the grave yard the Impis celebrated their first win of the season after they beat the cry off Mongers though on Wednesday they suffered in the hands of the Buffaloes.
