Team Kenya will vie to dissapoint hosts Uganda in front of a daring crowd at Lugogo when the two face off in a winner-takes-it-all final clash of the Pepsi ICC Africa Division One T20 tournament on Friday morning.

This comes after Kenya defeated Nigeria by six wickets to make it six out of seven. Their final match turns out to be the decider since they can win the trophy on a better net run rate than Uganda.

Knowing that they had a tough game this morning, skipper Collins Obuya won toss and stuck in Nigeria thinking they would post a low score.

“I stuck them in thinking they would post a low score but we were shocked they did the unexpected,” he said.

He was blessed with an early wicket as Endurance Ofem went for a duck after he suffered a leg before wicket (lbw) from Hiren Varaiya (1/6) after just three delivieries.

Barsman two Ademola Onikoyi (48 off 44), caught by Tanmay Mishra at mid on off Aga Ragheb’s (1/13) bowling after 13.5 overs for the second wicket. Then, Nigeria were at 85 runs.

After four balls, Dotun Olatunji (30 off 40) was caught by Varaiya at long on off Lucas Oluoch’s (1/11) while Bejide Ejide (20 off 18, not out) and captain Kunle Adegbola’s 11 off 17 helped the West Africans set 118-4.

Kenya were 9-2 after openers Alex Obanda (0 off 3) was caught behind by wicket keeper Segon Olayinka off Joshua Ogunlola (1/10) and Rakep Patel (9 off 6) was bowled out by Seye Olympio (2/34) at 1.5.

But Moris Ouma, in at no.3 struck 48 off 39, Tanmay got unbeaten 33 off 32 and added Ragheb added 18 off 18 as Kenya reached the target with two balls and six wickets to spare.
