There will be no room for error as team Uganda takes on Kenya in the Pepsi ICC Division One T20 World Cup Qualifer tournament title decider at Lugogo on Friday.
Uganda, unbeaten in seven games so far, seeks to defend the title they in 2011 and should they slip up, their neighbours win the trophy on better net run rate.
“The boys have done well so far,” batting coach Steve Tikolo told Kawowo Sports.
“We have one game left and the same dedication and performance is expected of them.” Tikolo added.
“We need to field and then start counting our chances.” team Uganda wicket keeper Lawrence Ssematimba said.
Meanwhile, Kenyan skipper Collins Obuya is still composed and calm ahead of the nerve wrecking tie.
“We shall still give our best. Of course Uganda has already qualified but we need to take the trophy home.”
Team Uganda rested yesterday while Kenya defeated Nigeria by six wickets last evening.
Uganda defeated Kenya by 30 runs in the opening fixture of this round robin tournament.
