Prior the advent of the 2013 season, the anticipations of a maiden national league title for the Entebbe based Rugby outfit, Sadolin Mongers were evident. Unfortunately, Mongers were given a rude awakening to the season with defeats against Toyota Buffaloes, G4S Pirates, Xfm Impis, MTN Heathens and D mark Kobs before registering morale boosting victories over whipping boys, Summerkamp and Rhinos.
Now sitting in an unfamiliar 7th position on the log, Mongers approach the bottom placed league debutants, Summerkamp who are still winless in as many games.
Kigongo Ssebalamu, who has been doubling the club’s coach and playing roles thinks there is need for his troops to guard against complacency in their home encounter against Summerkamp for the 7th place play off.
“We need to concentrate as we look towards the Summerkamp game. Otherwise, i hope my boys will not get carried away by over confidence”, Kigongo warned.
Mongers, who are bank rolled by Sadolin Paints will pray John Wandicho passes a late fitness test to join the likes of Adigas Ronald, Andrew Olwenyi, Wako Erukana, Richard Bbira and Wasswa Adrian in their pursuit for that much needed consolational victory.
Summerkamp looks upon applying the principal of damage limitation with a great planned defensive and offensive strategy.
In the other play off match, Xfm Impis hosts Rhinos at Makerere University Rugby grounds.
