Athletes in the country are gearing up for the 12th edition of the Stanbic Bank International School of Uganda Family run due on Sunday at Lubowa.
The 0bjective of this event is to raise funds support selected Non – Profit organizations operating in various parts in Uganda.
Over the years this annual event has witnessed and increase in the athletes,participants and sponsors which is an indicator that more Ugandans have realized the need to support activities which raise funds for causes that improve life of the less privileged in our communities.
In the year 2012 funds raised to an equivalent of Ugx 50 million was donated to the following Organization:: Nyaka AIDS School , Food steps (caring for captive children) found inside Kampiringisa Children’s remand home, Break-dance Project Uganda (Empowering and engaging youth through dance) –Kampala and ISU Scholarship Fund – Lubowa, Kampala.

As an International Institution we are we are always ready to participate in activities that involve the local community and more so those that impact on the lives of the less privileged in Uganda. The School will continue to encourage the students and their parents get involved in these development related initiatives.
The Annual ISU Family run is one of the various initiative on the School Calendar where we join the rest of the other Ugandans to make our humble contribution is assisting the needy and we pledge to continue our participating in the organization, said Chris Maggio Head of School International School of Uganda.
In addition to Stanbic Bank who are the Main sponsors this year’s other sponsors include: MTN (U) Gold, Roko Construction (Silver) Lake Victoria Serena and AON Insurance, Roofing’s Ltd who are Bronze sponsor.
The funds raised from both the corporate and individuals sponsors will addition to supporting the usual “Go Green” ‘Cause go to the following beneficiaries; ISU Scholarship Funds USCPCA, Rehab Uganda and Maini Muni Breast cancer Foundation.
