First leg Results
- URA 0-2 SC Villa
- Kitara 0-0 Vipers
SC Villa moved a big step closer to reaching the Stanbic Uganda Cup final following their 2-0 first leg semi-final win over URA at Hamz stadium, Nakivubo on Monday.
A late own goal from Moses Aliro put the icing on the cake for the Jogoos who had taken a first half lead when Najib Yiga stabbed home from close range after fine work by Hassan Mubiru down the left flank.
Villa, who last played in the final in 2015 now need to avoid a defeat by a three-goal margin at Fufa stadium, Kadiba on May 16 when they host the second leg.

They are clear favourites in the tie as they haven’t lost a match at Kadiba this season but that cant be said of the tie involving Vipers and Kitara.
The first leg clash at Royals’ Park Butema ended in a goalless draw in a game the hosts dominated but were denied by superb Denis Kiggundu in Vipers’ goal.
The two sides will face off at Kitende on May 13 to decide the tie.
